US rapper 50 cent has back tracked on his support for Donald Trump, claiming he “never liked” the president despite urging his followers to vote for him last week.
After the rapper disagreed with Joe Biden’s tax plan that would see 50 Cent pay 62 per cent in taxes, he tweeted, “I don’t care that Trump doesn’t like black people, 62% are you out of your mind”.
50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend Chelsea Handler blasted the rapper’s decision online and then went on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show to further her attack.
“I had to remind him that he was a black person so he can’t vote for Donald Trump and that he shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him,” she told Fallon.
50 Cent then retracted his support for the President and tweeted, “F*** Donald Trump. I never liked him.”
